The Welcoming

So the most intriguing, hilarious and fascinating thing happened to me yesterday.

I know I'm going to get slammed for sharing this guys but then I'm still in shock.

I was invited to go out on a lunch date yesterday 23/05/17 with some David from Rivers State . No Lies guys but the invitation had come many times before but I've always been reluctant due to my busy schedule.

Finally I agreed. I'm a corper and not very familiar with the places around so I asked him to suggest a place instead which he suggested charcoal.... At GRA. I'm sorry I seem to have forgotten the name but that's not the gist.

So we met and we ordered for drinks and also chicken and chips, he took just chicken and I myself chicken and chips. We got talking, he claimed he's twenty six and went ahead to give me details of his ex who's now married after a year of their break up. We talked about school and I didn't fail to emphasize on my passion for interior designing and how much I'd want to make it a career.

Long story short the attendant who had earlier served us walked to our table saying the pos machine wasn't working at the moment so I volunteered to pay since i had cash on me expecting to get my money back in return which was just #5200.

Okay Critics before you judge note that he stated all bills on me. I'm not the type of girl who believes a man should foot all the bills when they both went out to have fun.

Okay back to my story.

We started talking about in dependence a novel written by Sarah Madipo Lanyika And the books he loved reading, I noticed his phone rang on and on but he insisted on not taking the calls and finally when I excused my self to use the convenience; the moment I got back ready to leave he insisted that we meet someone at 'The Planet' it's a lounge, with a club and restaurant.

Arriving the planet again he ordered for Gizzard and I ordered for snail.

Long story short he excused himself and never came back.

Called his number was switched off until he texted me saying he was held by SARS.

Later on called and asked for my account number as at 9pm. I sent it to him and he then claimed the service was bad and he'd try again the next day.

Earlier this morning I called to get explanation for such act and he said his mother had frozen his account.

Our Potty Training Story

Our Potty Training Story As at the time I'm writing this blog my baby 'Vida' is two years old and she's potty trained. Initially she got potty trained at about 21 to 22months old officially even though before then she'd indicate when she needed to use her potty but i choose to say 22months old because she decided independently on her own to stop wearing diapers, whenever I wore her diapers she'd remove it and that's when I came to the conclusion that we were potty trained! So initially I introduced potty to my daughter quite early, I think somewhere around 8-9 months; reasons because the bath my mum gifted us came with a potty and also she (my mum) engineered the idea of how nice it'd be if I started potty training early. So I do as told even though I wasn't doing it consistently, reason because it was difficult to tell when she needed to pee or poo, it just happens plus I wasn't always into it, so it was off and on for me. Fast forward to when s...

Fifteen Things I Would Teach My Daughter

Motherhood is overwhelming . I mean all what I think about is ensuring a sustainable and bright future for my baby girl. For me having a baby girl is like recreating the mini version of yourself and doing anything possible to avert her from making the same mistakes you made and encouraging her to do things you wished you'd have done but was too scared to do. Now that's my truth, I can't say for any other person. Fact is I can't manipulate my daughter's future neither is it right to dictate her life, but here are things I'd love to teach her.  Your Gender Doesn't Define What You Should Do,  Become or Love:  Growing up as a young girl society made me believe some certain things are meant for the male and also for the female; from career choices to hobbies, even as far as to politics, TV shows or entertainment etc.Now this is not a sexist blog but I'd love for my baby girl to know that the things she loves and is passionate about isn't and shouldn...
HOW I GOT RID OF ACNE So late last year 2015 I had this very terrifying acne experience; I've always been prone to pimple but not like the once that had appeared on my face. At first I was thinking it's due to change of environment since I had just returned from school back to Nigeria, so I prayed they just disappear as soon as possible,  This was somet ime around December 2015; but Instead of my face healing it was getting worse.  Not too long every one I knew became a cosmetologist, offering different advice on what I could do, I read blogs, I fell in love with any acne help product I came across; from scrubbing my face with baking powder, to cleanser and fade out black spots face lotion nothing seemed to be working for me. My Dear I gave up! Gave up applying make up because I felt those color corrector I was applying before and after my foundation were doing more harm than good so I'd purchase another once it's finished.  We've seen amazing wonders of ma...
